Cancer Doctor

Prevention efforts seem to have failed. Now what? We hear a lot of buzz about amazing cures and successes, "If you'll just buy my book, take my pills or visit my center." The very word, cancer, scares us so completely, we believe we're going to die any minute. If we just calm down and begin to study the situation, we can often relieve our fears and make rational decisions that will avoid the frauds and help our doctors help us heal.

Cancer accounts to a death of 6 million human lives per year. Modern medicine is aging with breath taking advances in cancer care with increasing awareness, preventing, detection, therapy, research and symptom management. Last 15 years has been a revolution. It is likely to fight Cancer out by getting an early detection especially at a pre cancer stage thus yielding best cure with much shorter treatment time, lesser cost, lesser body insult.

When asked for their opinion on cancer tests, a lot of doctors say that, cancer blood tests and other lab tests are the first steps, which help a doctor to make a cancer diagnosis. As we wade through the dawn of 21st century, we are faced with newer diseases and never ending challenges. One such (a deadly one) is the cancer. It is a disease with no guaranteed cure and in most cases, it is fatal. More than 10 million people in a year, come in the cadaverous mouth of this monster.

None of us want to learn out that we or our family members have prostate cancer. It is difficult enough to get that diagnosis. It is so much worse when the cancer has spread to other parts of the body and a cure is no longer possible. But to also learn that a doctor had information a year or more before the diagnosis that could have allowed early detection of the cancer. By not following up on that information the doctor took away the possibility of a cure and when that happens the doctor may be liable for a medical malpractice and possibly a wrongful death claim.

Thanks to highly reliable tests as well as more frequent testing, colon cancer has become known as one of the least deadly cancers. If caught in its earliest stages, this type of cancer can be completely eradicated from the body. In order for it to be detected, however, patients must undergo a test known as a colonoscopy to check for polyps that might develop into cancer. This test is especially important for those over the age of 50 since there may be no symptoms that cancer is beginning to form.

Sugi's son said: In the first visit to the doctor, my father was told that he only had six months to live and now it has been two years and he is still alive. Last two weeks, the doctor again told my father he only had four months to live. It has been more than two years since his second encounter with his doctor and Sugi is still healthy.
