Children's Cancer
You may have a lot to think about if your child has been diagnosed with cancer. Although childhood cancer isn't necessarily common, there are specialists at most children's hospitals who are skilled in working with children whom have various forms of pediatric cancer.
As a special education specialist I have seen many books that children struggle with because the reading is too hard. Many books lack age appropriate reading. Let me tell you about a new children's book authored by Patti Block, of Minnesota, titled Where's My Hair? This book definitely has an age appropriate reading level and can be used for educational purposes.
Kids with Cancer and Energy Techniques in a Hospital - How it Started. This intense, enormous project of working with energy techniques like EFT and kids with cancer in a hospital started when I was invited to participate in a Fundraiser for Kids with Cancer. Lung cancer is among the most common cancers in the Western world. Lung cancer occurs due to the growth of malignant or abnormal cells in the lung. It is the third most common cancer in males and the fifth in females. Yet lung cancer is increasingly becoming a woman's problem. Many Irish people incorrectly feel that they are only at risk of skin cancer when holidaying abroad. However, the annual National Cancer Registry report details how there were nearly 8,000 cases of non-melanoma skin cancer in 1997 alone. This means that skin cancer is now the most common form of cancer in Ireland and presently accounts for about a third of all Irish cancers. It is accepted that excessive exposure to direct sunlight is the main risk factor for non-melanoma skin cancer in Ireland with fair-skinned individuals particularly at risk.
How was the quality of life of children and personnel at a Cancer ward markedly improved? The answer: They were all introduced to energy techniques like Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT). I'm Deborah Miller, an EFT practitioner with a Doctorate in Cell and Molecular Biology. Since September of 2007 I've been honored by the opportunity to apply EFT and energy techniques in a children's cancer ward in a hospital in the state of Oaxaca, Mexico. The results are extensive and far-reaching. |
